Stumbling Through the Past is for anyone interested in history. I share the history I encounter in my everyday life through my work, reviews of books and exhibitions, news from conferences I attend, the history of places I travel to as well as issues currently of interest to the public and profession.
I launched Stumbling Through the Past in August 2010 with a short Welcome and two days later, a post about looking back at the Federal election in 1910. Twelve years later the design of this blog looked sadly dated and so I did a major refresh and changed the hosting. It is a big task to migrate over 250 posts, check links and ensure that the images are displayed correctly in a new theme. I will do this detailed work gradually, so you may see some glitches in the old posts, but plain text works well so you will find a lot of good reading in my back catalogue.
I am a professional writer and researcher who specialises in history and technical writing. I started my career in chartered accounting before working in public relations.
